You enter college expecting more, but still it is a simplified story of a war that impacted so many. You take British history classes and you get a little more detail, but you are left confused and wanting, no needing more. The human side has been ignored.Then comes Alan Hlad with his ability to bring the war to life. It isn't just the facts, although it is factual. It isn't just a one line summary. It is so much more. It is the way history should be taught. It is the way we should demand that it be taught. It isn't a few lines but millions of lives lost.
